About Us
Flamsal Philanthropies works to ensure better lives for people by focusing on five key areas: the arts and culture, education, the environment and animals, health and human services, and international.
Encompassing all of Roy W. Freeman Jr.’s giving, Flamsal Philanthropies includes management of his personal philanthropy.
Roy established Flamsal Philanthropies in 2021.
Roy has committed 25% of his profits from Flamsal Holdings LLC, the multi-sector holding company that he founded in 2024, to support the work of Flamsal Philanthropies and donations to non-profit organizations.
Meet Roy
Roy W. Freeman Jr. is the Founder and Executive Director of Flamsal Philanthropies, the Founder and Executive Chairman of Flamsal Holdings LLC, the Founder and Head of Trading and Investments of Flamsal Global, the Estate Owner of Chateau Freeman, a Board Member and former Chairman of Petal Band Boosters Inc., and retired and decorated U.S. Army non-commissioned officer.
Freeman is a contributor to the arts, disaster relief, youth organizations, schools, universities, veteran and military support organizations, disease research, children’s hospitals, fallen and injured heroes, hunger relief and food banks, and more.
He is the recipient of the Army Commendation Medal and many other military awards and decorations. Freeman is studying at the University of Alabama to earn a BS in General Business, and later a MA in Management (Global Business). He plans to attend Purdue Global Law School to earn a Juris Doctor. Freeman lives in Petal with his wife, Ashley, and sons.

The Arts and Culture
Flamsal Philanthropies believes in harnessing the power of the arts and culture to improve communities through creativity and collaboration.
Education
We believe every student deserves the chance to get a high-quality education, no matter where they live or how much their family makes. Strengthening America’s education system – from K-12, to higher education, to career and technical education – is good for students, communities, and the economy.
The Environment and Animals
Flamsal Philanthropies supports organizations that take action to protect the planet, fight against climate change, preserve natural ecosystems, and care for animals.
Health and Human Services
We support organizations that search for cures to diseases, youth organizations shaping the next generation, veteran and military support organizations, hospitals, holiday toys for children, and food programs.
International
Flamsal Philanthropies supports non-governmental charitable organizations that provide hope to disaster victims, food and clean water to poverty stricken regions of the world, and medical care for the poor.
